A French-born Artist, Claire left Teaching to become a full-time painter, print-maker and portrait artist. She works from her studio in St Albans, Hertfordshire, where she welcomes visits by appointment.

Her work is strongly influenced by natural forms and landscapes. But she believes that as Nature is perfect, it is futile to try to reproduce it. Her paintings are therefore imaginary, but tap into universal images we all share: water, trees, light, darkness, sunsets, skies, all of which are recurrent themes in her work.

Claire has sold work in the UK and abroad. She strongly contends that Art should be accessible to all, as it heightens one's experience of life and provides a visual expression of taste and style. It personalizes and humanizes one's personal space, be it a home or an office, making it highly individual. Additionally, it makes one more sensitive and aware of Beauty. For such notable reasons, Claire McInnerny's work is affordable whilst being striking and unique.
